The Mould King 13146 – Mould King 8x8 Offroad Truck is a remote-controlled building block set of an all-terrain forestry vehicle with a crane and eight driven wheels. With 3,068 parts and seven motors, it creates a fully functional vehicle with all-wheel drive, articulated steering, and RC control – based on a MOC design by Nico71.

The Concept – The Articulated 8x8

Articulated vehicles with eight driven wheels are primarily used in forestry and mining. The characteristic feature is the articulated steering: the vehicle bends in the middle instead of steering by turning the wheels. This allows for very tight turning radii and even load distribution across all axles, even on uneven terrain. An attached crane enables the grabbing and loading of logs or other loads. The Mould King 13146 is based on a well-known MOC design by designer Nico71 and implements this concept using building blocks.

The Model – Mould King 13146

The Mould King 8x8 Offroad Truck model has eight driven wheels and functional articulated steering. The crane can be rotated, raised, and lowered. The grabber can be opened and closed. The model is powered by seven motors – two XL motors, three L motors, and two M motors. It is controlled via remote control or a smartphone app. Motors, battery boxes, and remote control are included. The model is 70 cm long.
