The Mould King 17040 – Reach Truck is a remote-controlled building-block kit of a high-rack reach truck on a 1:10 scale. With 1,506 parts it builds into a fully drivable model that is controlled by remote or app and can extend, raise and lower the lifting mast.

The prototype – the reach truck (high-rack forklift)

Reach trucks are specialised forklifts used in high-rack warehouses. Their key feature is the extendable lifting mast, which makes it possible to set down and pick up loads at very great heights – often up to 12 metres and more. The name "reach truck" comes from the fact that the mast can be extended forwards to reach deep into rows of shelving. At the same time, the driving area is very compact in order to manoeuvre through narrow warehouse aisle systems. Reach trucks run on electric power and are indispensable in modern distribution centres and industrial warehouses – from small-parts stores to large automotive suppliers.

The model – Mould King 17040

The Mould King reach truck model shows the typical high-rack forklift with driver's stand, extendable lifting mast and forks. The lifting mast can be extended and raised or lowered by remote control. The model drives forwards, backwards, left and right. It is controlled via a 2.4 GHz remote or a smartphone app. Motors, battery box and remote control are included in delivery.
