The Wange 5231 – Jesus Christ Statue (Cristo Redentor) is an architectural building block model of the world-famous Christ statue in Rio de Janeiro. With 973 parts, a detailed display model of the Art Deco figure with outstretched arms on its pedestal is created – as a static collector's item.

The Original – Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janeiro

The Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) is a monumental statue of Christ on the summit of Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and one of the most famous landmarks in the world. The 30-meter-high figure with a 28-meter arm span was begun in 1922 and inaugurated on October 12, 1931. It was designed by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and executed by French-Polish sculptor Paul Landowski. The figure is made of reinforced concrete and clad in soapstone. Corcovado rises 710 meters above sea level, making the statue widely visible over the city. In 2007, Cristo Redentor was chosen as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000 as part of the Atlantic Forest in the Florestas da Tijuca.
