It was unveiled in 1974 and produced in various versions until 1990. The wedge-shaped design, the scissor doors, the mid-mounted V12 and the extremely wide wheel arches set new standards in the supercar segment. Across various iterations – LP400, LP500, LP5000 Quattrovalvole and 25th Anniversary Edition – it was continuously refined. With a top speed of up to 295 km\/h and a 5,2-litre V12 producing 455 PS in the final version, it was well ahead of its time.
