The Mould King 20028 – Mould King Karl Mortar RC is a motorised building-block model of the German Karl-Gerät – the heaviest self-propelled artillery system of the Second World War. With 1.648 parts it creates a true-to-detail Karl-Gerät building-block model that drives and steers by remote control.

The original – the Karl mortar (Gerät 040)

The Karl-Gerät was developed from 1936 by Rheinmetall for the Wehrmacht to batter heavy fortifications such as the Maginot Line into submission. The first gun was ready for action in 1940; a total of seven units were built. The Karl mortar weighed around 124 tonnes and fired 60 cm shells weighing up to 2.170 kg at targets up to 4,3 km away. On its fully tracked self-propelled chassis the behemoth reached up to 10 km/h. The guns bore individual names such as "Adam", "Eva", "Thor" or "Ziu". They were deployed, among others, at the sieges of Brest-Litovsk and Sevastopol as well as during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944 – the heaviest self-propelled artillery system ever used in combat in its time.

The Mould King military vehicle is remote-controllable: drive and steering via the integrated RC system. As a historic military vehicle building-block set, it is a true-to-detail replica of one of the most distinctive German artillery systems of the Second World War. No LED lighting power set included.
