Description

The CaDA C61024 – CaDA Initial D Toyota Trueno AE86 is an officially licensed building-block model of the legendary Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 at 1:12 scale – in the iconic panda livery from the anime Initial D. With 1,324 pieces it builds into a true-to-detail Toyota Trueno AE86 model in the characteristic black-and-white of the Fujiwara tofu delivery car.

The original – the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86

The Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 was produced from 1983 to 1987 and is today a cult car of Japanese automotive history. The 1.6-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated 4A-GE engine delivers around 128 hp – light for such a car, but precisely tunable and eager to rev up to 8,000 rpm. With rear-wheel drive, balanced weight distribution and a sporty chassis, the AE86 was a favourite among rally drivers and drifters alike. In the manga and anime „Initial D“, Takumi Fujiwara drives his father's white AE86 – the panda Trueno – through the mountain passes of Mount Akina, making it arguably the most famous anime depiction of a car ever.

The model – CaDA C61024

The CaDA Initial D Toyota Trueno AE86 building-block model recreates the characteristic pop-up headlights, the compact coupé silhouette and the black bonnet of the panda Trueno in building blocks at 1:12 scale. The white body with black-and-white Initial D decoration is officially licensed by Kodansha and Toyota. As an AE86 building-block display model, it is designed without an RC power set – a static version for the display cabinet or desk. The model belongs to CaDA's Initial D collection.

Technical data

The CaDA C61024 Toyota AE86 model car comprises 1,324 pieces and recreates the Toyota Trueno AE86 at 1:12 scale. The finished model measures 14.5 × 10.9 × 32.8 cm (W × H × D). Included: static display model without motor or remote control.

Whether as a technic sports car building set for Initial D fans or as a CaDA racing car kit for JDM collectors – the CaDA C61024 is the authentic building-block depiction of the most famous anime car of all time.
