The Original – the Tatra 813 KOLOS

The Tatra 813, also known as "KOLOS," is a heavy-duty all-terrain truck manufactured by the Czechoslovakian company Tatra, built from the 1960s onwards. Its distinctive features include an air-cooled V12 diesel engine and a robust 8×8 all-wheel-drive chassis with the typical Tatra central tube frame construction. The KOLOS was used for both military and civilian purposes – as a tractor unit, transporter, and for heavy-duty tasks in the most challenging terrain. Thanks to its exceptional off-road capability and robustness, the Tatra 813 is still considered a legendary off-road commercial vehicle today.
