The CaDA C61023 – CaDA Initial D Mazda RX-7 FD3S is an officially licensed building-block model of the legendary Mazda RX-7 FD3S at 1:12 scale – in the iconic livery from the anime Initial D. With 1,655 pieces it builds into a true-to-detail Mazda RX-7 sports car display model in the characteristic yellow of the Takahashi brothers.

The original – the Mazda RX-7 FD3S

The Mazda RX-7 FD3S (Type III, 1991–2002) is the third and final generation of the RX-7 and is considered one of the purest sports car interpretations Mazda has ever built. At its heart is a 1.3-litre twin-turbo Wankel engine with two rotary pistons, delivering 255 to 280 hp depending on the version. With a kerb weight of around 1,280 kg and an almost balanced weight distribution, the FD3S is known for its precise handling and linear power delivery. In the manga and anime „Initial D“, Ryosuke Takahashi – leader of the RedSuns racing team – drives a white FD3S, which became a symbol of technology and tactical driving.

The white paintwork with red Initial D accents is officially licensed by Kodansha and Mazda. As a pure display model of a CaDA Japanese sports car, it is designed without an RC power set – ideal as a shelf or display-cabinet model for anime and JDM fans.
