The Original – the Allianz Stadium in Turin

The Allianz Stadium is located in the north of Turin and has been the home ground of Juventus Turin, the Italian record champion, since its opening on September 8, 2011. Designed by architects Hernando Suarez and Gino Zavanella, it was built for around 155 million euros on the site of the old Stadio delle Alpi. With a capacity of 41,507 spectators and two striking 86-meter-high pillars supporting the roof, it is one of the most architecturally remarkable sports venues in Italy. The stadium has special significance: it is the first football stadium in Italy to be entirely owned by a club and is one of the few stadiums in the world to be certified as climate-neutral.
