The JIESTAR JJ9155 – JIESTAR Steam Locomotive Train Model is a large brick-built model of a classic oriental steam train. The set comprises 3.691 parts and includes a locomotive, carriages, tracks and LED lighting. It is a pure display model – motorisation is optional and available separately.

The original – the oriental steam locomotive

Steam locomotives shaped the image of the railway from the early 19th century well into the 20th century. In East Asia, especially in China and Japan, steam locomotives remained in active service until the 1980s – longer than in most other parts of the world. The classic steam locomotives of this region have their own unmistakable design: large driving wheels, a long boiler, wide smoke stacks and often elaborately decorated details in warm colour tones. The JIESTAR JJ9155 is based on this historic style and depicts a steam locomotive with tender and passenger carriages in the style of the early 20th century.

The model – JIESTAR JJ9155

The JIESTAR steam locomotive model consists of the locomotive, a tender and at least one passenger carriage. The locomotive has large wheels, a detailed boiler and a long chimney. The model is set up on tracks, which are included in delivery. LED lighting is also included – the locomotive's lamps can be switched on. The JIESTAR brick train set is designed as a static display model. Anyone who wants to run the model can purchase a motorisation kit separately.
