The Original – the Shenyang J-15 Flying Shark

The Shenyang J-15 (nickname "Flying Shark") is a carrier-based multirole combat aircraft of the Chinese Navy. It was developed for use on the aircraft carriers of the People's Liberation Army and made its maiden flight in 2009. The J-15 is a large, twin-engine fighter with foldable wings for space-saving operation on aircraft carriers. With its canards and robust construction, it is one of the most important components of the Chinese carrier air wing and one of China's most modern naval aircraft.
