The Rolls-Royce Phantom is one of the most famous luxury automobiles in history. The first Phantom was introduced in 1925 as the successor to the Silver Ghost and immediately became a symbol of the highest standard in British automotive engineering. The classic Phantom models from the 1920s to the 1950s are characterized by their large six-cylinder or V12 engine, the distinctive grille with the "Spirit of Ecstasy" ornament, the sweeping bodywork, and the extremely high build quality.
