1. Code of Values
1.1 We, the team at KBS-Shop, are a dynamic, growing company in an ever-changing society. We love the challenges of the building block world and prioritize innovation and quality. We are aware of our responsibility to society, our customers, our employees, and our international business partners.
1.2 We commit to meeting this responsibility by making our daily decisions in accordance with ethical, moral, and legal standards.
1.3 This Code of Conduct serves as a guide for each of us, regardless of position in the company. It also describes the standards we expect from our partners in the supply chain. Managers actively embody this code of values and raise their teams' awareness of our standards.
2. Respect and Human Dignity
2.1 We respect human dignity and uphold internationally recognized human rights (UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ILO core labor standards).
2.2 We strictly reject any form of abuse, intimidation, discrimination, and harassment. This specifically includes bullying, verbal assaults, and any unfair treatment.
2.3 We promote a working environment characterized by respect, openness, and diversity. Different perspectives enrich our creativity.
2.4 We expect responsible behavior from all involved and do not tolerate intoxicating substances in the workplace.
3. Prohibition of Child Labor and Forced Labor
3.1 We do not tolerate child labor and strictly adhere to the legal minimum age for employment.
3.2 We expect proactive measures from our international business partners and producers to prevent child labor in their operations.
3.3 We categorically reject any form of forced or compulsory labor, human trafficking, or practices similar to slavery.
3.4 Employment must always be voluntary, without withholding documents or unjustified penalties.
4. Fair Compensation, Working Hours, and Occupational Safety
4.1 We comply with all legal provisions on remuneration and ensure adherence to minimum wage requirements.
4.2 We observe legal working hours, rest breaks, and vacation entitlements.
4.3 Health and safety in the workplace (especially in logistics and warehousing) are top priorities. We provide safe working conditions and regularly train our employees.
4.4 Required protective equipment is provided and must be used properly. Unsafe conditions must be reported and remedied immediately.
5. Diversity and Inclusion
5.1 We value the diversity of our community and our employees. No one is discriminated against because of origin, gender, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
5.2 We create an environment of equal opportunity for everyone.
6. Fair Competition
6.1 KBS-Shop stands for fair competition. Our success is based on quality and performance, not on unfair agreements.
7. Prohibition of Corruption and Bribery
7.1 We reject any form of bribery. Gifts or invitations intended to unduly influence business decisions will not be accepted.
7.2 Transparency and fairness are the foundation of our business relationships.
7.3 We act in compliance with regulations for anti-money laundering as well as import and export controls in our international imports.
8. Conflicts of Interest
8.1 Personal interests must be clearly separated from business decisions. Potential conflicts must be disclosed.
8.2 The acceptance of cash or inappropriate benefits is generally prohibited.
9. Data Protection and Confidentiality
9.1 The protection of customer data (especially payment and contact details) as well as trade secrets is a top priority. We operate in compliance with the GDPR.
9.2 We use modern technical safeguards to ensure information security in our online shop.
9.3 Confidential information remains protected even after the end of a cooperation.
10. Product Quality and Consumer Safety
10.1 Quality is at the core of our brand. From selecting manufacturers to shipping, we check our products for safety.
10.2 We ensure that our products comply with applicable legal requirements (CE marking and toy safety directives).
10.3 Our overseas partners are carefully vetted. We maintain close relationships with manufacturers to guarantee consistently high quality of bricks and sets.
10.4 Complaints are handled through a structured process to permanently eliminate sources of error and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
11. Sustainability
11.1 We are aware of our ecological responsibility and work to gradually make processes such as packaging and logistics more sustainable. Imports are based on the most environmentally friendly solution available, sea freight.
11.2 We strive to integrate sustainability as a permanent component of our corporate culture and decision-making processes.
12. Expectations of Business Partners
12.1 This Code of Conduct also describes our expectations of our suppliers and producers.
12.2 We are committed to transparency in the supply chain. Together with our partners, we want to avoid negative impacts on people and the environment.
12.3 We reserve the right to verify compliance with these standards by our partners through appropriate procedures.
13. Reporting Violations
13.1 Indications of violations of this code can be reported at any time. The contact is Customer Service.
13.2 All reports will be reviewed confidentially and, if desired, anonymously. Retaliation against whistleblowers will not be tolerated.
