The Original – the Chengdu J-20

The Chengdu J-20 („Mighty Dragon“) is a fifth-generation Chinese stealth fighter aircraft developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group. It made its maiden flight in 2011 and has been in service with the Chinese Air Force since 2017. The J-20 is designed as a twin-engine, long-range fighter with stealth capabilities, combining a distinctive canard configuration with an angular, radar-absorbent fuselage shape. It is considered China's response to Western stealth fighters like the F-22 and F-35 and is one of the most modern fighter aircraft in the Chinese Air Force.
