The Reobrix 55017 – Reobrix Himeji Castle is a building block model of the famous Japanese Himeji Castle in a 1:127 scale. With 7,105 parts and a finished width of 70 cm, it creates an impressive Himeji Castle model – featuring characteristic white walls, curved roofs, and the multi-story main keep.

The Original – Himeji-jo

Himeji Castle (Himeji-jo) in the Japanese city of Himeji is considered one of Japan's most beautiful and best-preserved castles. The original construction dates back to the 14th century; the current five-story main keep, in the form we know today, was built in 1609. Due to its brilliant white plastered facades, it bears the nicknames "Hakuro-jo" or "Shirasagi-jo" – Castle of the White Heron. The castle is regarded as a masterpiece of Japanese castle architecture: 83 buildings and an intricate defense system of winding paths, gates, and embrasures have remained almost completely intact. In 1993, Himeji-jo became the first Japanese structure to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
