The CRRC CR240E is a Chinese mining dump truck developed by CRRC Corporation Limited. CRRC is one of the world's largest manufacturers of rail vehicles and has also become involved in the field of heavy mining vehicles. The CR240E stands for an electrically powered heavy-duty dump truck with a payload of around 240 tons. Such giant dump trucks are used in large open-pit mines worldwide to transport ore, coal, or overburden. They often have tire diameters of over 3 meters and a vehicle height of more than 7 meters. The electric drive makes the CR240E a modern and low-emission representative of this vehicle class, which was traditionally powered by diesel engines.
