The Original – the Suzuki GSX1100S Katana

The Suzuki Katana (GSX1100S) was introduced in 1981 at the IFMA in Cologne and immediately set standards with its design: Hans Muth designed the aggressive, forward-leaning fairing, which looks like a katana sword cutting through the direction of travel. A 1,075 cm³ inline four-cylinder engine delivered around 111 hp – making the Katana one of the fastest production motorcycles in the world at its launch. The model became a design classic and was reissued from 2019 as a new edition (GSX-S1000S). To this day, the Katana is considered one of the most stylistically influential Japanese motorcycles of all time.

The Model – CaDA C59021

The CaDA Suzuki Katana model translates the distinctive fairing, the long tank, and the characteristic front end of the Katana into building blocks. The two-speed gearbox is functional and shiftable, and the rear suspension realistically absorbs shocks. A removable side fairing reveals the engine representation. As an officially licensed product by Suzuki, the CaDA motorcycle building kit set features the original Suzuki logos. The building block motorcycle is designed as a static display model – no RC power set is included.
