The JIESTAR JJ9226 – Jie Star TU-160 Strategic Bomber is a large building block model of the Russian supersonic bomber Tupolev Tu-160. With 3,470 parts and a wingspan of over one meter, it creates an impressive display model with LED lighting – no power set included.

The Original – the Tupolev Tu-160

The Tupolev Tu-160, designated "Blackjack" by NATO, is the largest and heaviest supersonic combat jet ever built. It was developed in the Soviet Union and first flew in 1981. With a maximum wingspan of 55.7 meters and a maximum takeoff weight of 275 tons, it is the world's heaviest combat aircraft. Four turbofan engines propel it to a top speed of Mach 2.05 – more than twice the speed of sound. Its range is around 12,000 kilometers without refueling. The Tu-160 belongs to the Russian Air Force and is designed as a strategic bomber for nuclear and conventional weapons. It features variable-sweep wings that are adjusted depending on the flight phase – extended for takeoff and landing, swept back for high-speed flight. The aircraft is also called the "White Swan" due to its elegant white paint scheme.
