The Mould King 12005 – SL7 Asia Express Train is a remote-controlled building block model of the Chinese steam express train SL7 "Asia Express". With 1,873 parts, it creates a 93 cm long model with a locomotive, tender, passenger cars, and RC drive – designed by Marbleman.

The Original – the Asia Express SL7

The Asia Express (Japanese: Ajia) was a legendary express train that operated from 1934 between Dairen (now Dalian, China) and Hsinking (now Changchun) in Manchuria – a region then under Japanese administration. It was operated by the South Manchuria Railway and was considered one of the fastest and most luxurious trains in Asia of its time. The SL7 type locomotive (also known as "Asia") was specially developed for this train and had a top speed of up to 130 km/h. The train was designed for the upper passenger class and offered dining cars and sleeping compartments. The arrow-like silver look of the locomotive made it one of the most elegant trains of the steam age.

The Model – Mould King 12005

The Mould King SL7 model features the streamlined silver locomotive with its characteristic teardrop-shaped nose and long tender. Passenger cars are also included. The model is remotely controlled via remote control or smartphone app. Motors, battery box, and remote control are included.
